Well it’s not like PMP is progressing any. Might as well blog.

I’m in a daze. Should sleep earlier probably.

What the hell is with twenty-first invites and childhood pictures? We get it, you used to be very small.  Now you’re older. It’s very deep. Which is why you copied it from your friends, who copied it from their older siblings, who copied it from everyone in the entire bloody world.
I don’t even care that much, but I’m pretty pleased that my invites were original. And hey, if you make me an invite without a baby photo, statistically speaking there is a 100% chance I will date you.

I nearly forgot that I’m seeing Brick tonight. I do enjoy the Macquarie University productions. It’s fun to support Chris’ efforts and the last time I went to see something at the lighthouse theatre, I had a fantastic night. The revue was good too.

If I was a good, forward thinking friend I would have bought Chris a present and taken it tonight. Bah.

Tomorrow will be fun, I think. Looking forward to it.

3533. Curses. It feels within my grasp, yet so elusive.

This is post id 117, which makes me think of John, and then James – James for no other reason than he knows why I think of John.

There’s never enough time in the day. There’s always just enough that I think I can get away with a blog.

2 beers and a whopper : the athlete’s choice

This headline was brought to you by twitter, the letter L and the number 9.

I have an assignment to do. Ergo, bloggo. If blog was in the latin vocabulary, that would probably be correct even.

I’m sort of a nerd, (no, really?) so when I do something sporty it feels extra special.

I scored a goal at soccer last night. We drew with the undefeated team, and for over half the game we had a 1 nil lead.
In fact, we won 1 nil for the period of time I was on the field (i.e. 80% of the game). It’s a silly social futsal league, but hells yeah.

Also I am ok at cricket. And when I met Lizzie’s friend Jack who was formerly James’s roommate Jack I was all ‘actually we played footy once’. He remembered, and said ‘oh yeah, and there was this other guy who was pretty good and he’d played before’. I got to tell him that yeah, totes, that was actually me.

Yesterday also featured significant programming success for TRS. And after all of that I watched TV with izzy, which actually means I get to put this post in the triangle day category. Woo hoo.

Brett Lee is my new Shane Warne

… and other short thoughts.

Cricket’s a long game. I like it, I love it, but I can’t just sit down and watch it endlessly. Often I’ll have some manner of distraction in front of the TV, like my laptop.
But when Warney was bowling, he had my undivided attention. It was magic, and always worth it. You constantly felt that something could happen, no matter what the state of the game.

Brett Lee is the closest thing I have at the moment to a replacement for that. It’s a different sort of appeal: less guile, more grace. Always interesting, always dangerous.

I’m watching the end of the Somerset innings… it’s about all I have to blog about.

Not entirely true.

I feel like noting that today was really fun. I didn’t wake up alone. We got work done. I am still pretty good at Rock Band. I ate dark chocolate in front of cricket on the TV. I currently have a cat rubbing her head against my laptop screen.

I am pretty tired though. Also my head hurts a little. The champagne: not such a good idea.
Current plan: Finish Blackadder season four then sleep.

My hair is ridiculous.

I’m generally getting things right at the moment. This is excellent, because it’s never been more important.

I am really bad at delayed gratification

I should work before I have fun. I tend not to.

This results in me enjoying the day more, usually. But it will, on occasion, mean that I am up late trying to get work done.

And then I don’t do the work, because I think oh hah this would almost make a blog kind of.

I like that the only thing I really have to vent/blog about is the fact that I have too much fun.

Quick note

I live. Suddenly it’s October. First blog of the month. Woo. Not really.

Nobody else blogs any more. It’s a little sad. But it’s just a different method of communication – actual sadness would be a lack of communication, which is not the case.
I guess my point is that I actually don’t much care that there haven’t been many blogs. And yet I do. They’re so nice to read. What the hell is my point even?

Oh my point is that I have a long list of things to do today; blogging is not on the list. So here we are again. Things which are on the list : packing for two nights away from home to attend a party in Newcastle, packing for the five nights away I spend on holiday in Queensland,  not playing xbox and getting stuff done for  iphone project, other projects, blah blah etc. It’s boring. But if I do them now, I can go drinking or something.

My next two weeks are looking pretty good, I think.
